First Day @ the Office!

I'm not far from finishing up my first day at the office. It has included a meeting with my pastor, my first staff meeting, and spending some time in downtown Springfield with our college pastor.

I had a great meeting with Dr. Marshall. I am looking very forward to serving with him and learning from him. We talked about our preaching schedule from now through the summer. He is giving me the opportunity to preach several Sunday mornings and nights so that I might begin to build rapport with the people here. He also wants to do everything possible to make sure Shauna and the boys love life here.

I was disappointed to learn this afternoon that our Pastor's School in Nicaragua has been cancelled, due to some unrest in the country there. Please pray for the people there, especially the 120 pastors who were looking forward to our time with them.

Shauna began potty-training Samuel this morning. I'm sure she'll be posting updates on here soon.
